Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed 是一首許多美國小朋友熟知的英文童謠，也有畫家為這首童謠畫了插畫，變成圖畫書出版。

 

原來的歌詞大約是這樣的：

 

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

 

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Three little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

One little monkey jumping on the bed,

歌詞有五段，一開始有五隻猴子在床上跳，一隻掉到床下，撞到頭，媽媽打電話給醫生，醫生說，不可以再跳了。接下來剩四隻在跳，又有一隻掉到床下，撞到頭，媽媽打電話給醫生，醫生說，不可以再跳了。直到最後，五隻全都掉下床了，醫生說，叫他們直接去睡覺。

 

外甥女最近很迷這首童謠，而且會替換裡面的動物和動作，據說在家裡會把絨毛玩具搬出來排排坐，一隻一隻讓他們掉到地上。星期六來我家玩的時候，我把動物接龍的遊戲牌子拿出來，她數了五隻，就開始唱起來了。我忙著移走影響畫面的雜物，所以來不及錄第一段，雖然她媽媽把一隻撿起來，她卻又丟回去，沒有從頭來。

中間她有停頓的地方是在想要換什麼動作，從第三段她就開始把jumping換掉，換成了playing、fighting和sitting。後來我問她為什麼sitting也會掉下來，她就在笑，也學我說，為什麼sitting也會掉下來？
