I know I am a very lucky person. So I'm not complaining, just expressing my feelings.
It's hard to believe that I'm leaving in four days. Two months of vacation just went by. As usual, I am reluctant to go because I am relaxed and have fun here. Friends and time and space I have here are priceless. There's no doubt on that! It's a wonder that we can still get together to chat and have fun every year without seeing each other for 10 months. I'm grateful to them for bringing me abundant joy and friendship in my life. But what can I do without a proper visa to stay for good? Teaching in the elementary school here is not the same so it's not my top priority if I stay. Teaching Chinese might be an alternative. For now, I'll bear with it in Taipei if I have to be a teacher. I don't think it's worse than it is here so far.
I've been shopping around lately. I bought a lot of ingredients and packages of food this time. Hope I'll be able to bake or to cook some food I used to make in the US.
As it's the tax free weekend, I have a little more shopping to do. I actually couldn't wait and went shopping the first weekend after I arrived. Now I have to watch closely if I can pack everything in my baggages.
