時間過得好快，三個星期的寒假已經過完。
在Santa Clara週日上午九點左右發表完最後一篇印度食物，就帶著打包好的行李奔向舊金山機場。我搭乘的是中午12點的飛機，算起來台灣時間是週一凌晨四點起飛，晚上七點到了香港轉機，因為登機延誤，接近十點才回到桃園。其實台灣和美國並不遠，半天就可以到一個完全不同的世界。
出了機場才知道外面氣溫有多冷，下雨也已經下到地上積水，真是有點不可思議。感謝Winnie到機場來接我，她還由她爸爸陪同，讓我很不好意思。回到家裡大約十一點，或許是時差，或許是優柔寡斷與牽掛，一個晚上並沒有熟睡。
今天是初六，也是開工的好日子，大家都回到工作崗位了，一早就聽到鞭炮聲，商家都搶著開市。本來學校是不和商家一起趕在初六開學的，今年正巧過年比較晚，開學也碰上初六，所以就和大家一起開工囉。還好我的課只有三節，並不擔心
第一天就碰上全校上全天課，熱鬧得很。我想大部分的人都不急著上課吧。First thing first. 我先排了座位，接著發課本和簿子，又重新選了幹部，再來就檢查寒假作業，最後就是換掃地工作。這些雜事都做完，三節課已經過得差不多了，抄抄聯絡簿吧！第一天就有功課？是的，要不然明天怎麼上課呢？今天就查查字典吧。還有三張通知單，天啊，這個星期六就要和家長會面，未免也太趕了一點。抱怨也沒有用，認命吧。
還好第一天有半天不是我的課，可以喘口氣。不過我也看到有人開始上課，真是太強了！

I'm teaching 5th grade. I'll be with them for two years until they graduate.
You know what. I actually have no power over the system. Only the administration head like education minister has the power! I can only influence a small group of students.

I am done with my OB rotation and final. Yeah!
I got an A for my grade. I am happy.
That's what I meant that you can make a difference in the educational system by influencing your students.
My younger son is also a 5th grader. It's his last year in elementary school.
Time flies. They grow too fast.
I have a day off tomorrow. I am going to get a massage.
My back is killing me.
It's a little warm these couple of days.
I love the mid day sun; it feels so warm.

Enjoy your day off. You're so lucky to live in Bay Area. I miss California sunshine!
