上個週末跟好友到桃園走走,午餐就到艾維儂歐風素食餐廳。

取名為艾維儂,是受到頂級美食和濃厚藝術氣息法國小鎮Avignon的啟發,

希望能為身體環保與友善環境盡一份力,

從新鮮蔬果出發,每一道佳餚都講究味覺變化層次與擺盤美學。

我還沒去過Avignon,不過每次說到這地方,我就會想到那首著名的兒歌。

My friend and I went to Taoyuan last weekend.

We had lunch at Avignon Vegetarian Restaurant.

The owner was inspired by the fine dining and rich arts atmosphere

at the town Avignon in France and chose the name Avignon.

They want to contribute to good health and friendly environment 

so they use fresh vegetables and fruits.

Every dish has delicate taste and aesthetic arrangements.

走進餐廳,除了環境舒適溫馨,還發現牆上有藝術作品,

這是老闆娘策畫的展覽,照片中左側這一位就是她,親切的為我們介紹。

藝術創作是她的專長,她曾在兩岸藝術中心工作,

為了推動台灣藝術發展,去年開始在餐廳內規畫藝術展覽。 

You'll see display of paintings on the wall when you walk in. 

The exhibit was arranged by the general manager 

who received her MA at Arts University Bournemouth. 

She would love more people to appreciate fine arts.  

Thus she started arranging exhibit in the restaurant last year.

櫃台上放著一包包的蝶豆花出售,這可是現在最夯的飲品染色材料,最天然的。

一問之下,才知道出自於店家在屏東枋寮的農場,那兒還種了許多香草植物。

店家除了提供讓人愉悅的藝文空間用餐,所用食材都是台灣當地當季的蔬果,

以行動支持在地農業與生態的和諧發展。

主廚是老闆娘的另一半,

曾在美國頂尖廚藝學院 The Culinary Institute of America 學藝,

到加拿大溫哥華實習工作,再回到台灣頂級素食餐廳擔任主廚,

憑著對素食料理的熱忱和經驗,吸取中、西方食材和烹飪技術的精粹,

設計出自然養生的當季套餐,食材也會隨著季節有所變化。

 

I found hot item on the counter. It's the butterfly pea flower. 

It's natural dye. You can make blue and purple drinks with it.  

The flower is from their farm in Ping Dong. They also grow some herbs there. 

They provide not only the pleasant arts atmosphere, 

but also the produce grown from local farms in season.  

The Chef learned his cooking skills at the Culinary Institute of America.  

He worked at Vancouver in Canada, and then came back to Taiwan. 

With his passion and experience,

 he combined the essence of food and cooking skills from the East and the West. 

He designed the healthy in-season courses set. 

The produce changes according to the season.

目前是林怡君的作品在展覽,老闆娘帶我們看了一下作品。

The exhibit of Wonderful Moment by Yi-Chun Lin is on display.

看起來是一些顏色蠻鮮豔的幾何圖形拼貼在一起,有點抽象。

 

The paintings are colorful and abstract to me. 

They looks like many geometric figures of colored paper together.

其實是用油畫方式畫出色紙剪貼的感覺。

It is actually oil painting.

有樓梯,有椅子,有老房子裡的感覺。

This looks like in an old house with ladders and chairs.

往餐廳裡面走有更多座位,牆上的畫也比較大幅。

There are more bigger ones on the opposite wall.

吧檯前有個長桌,適合多人聚會。

桌子的那頭是面鏡子,空間看起來有加長加寬的效果。

There is a long table in front of the bar.

The long table is good for a big group.

At the end of the long table is a mirror wall.

It made the space looks bigger.

這天我們就坐在入口櫃檯後的座位,這兒有鏡子,蠻不錯的。

桌子下方很貼心的放了置物盒,這樣包包就不用放在椅子上佔空間了。

 

This was where we sat. I like the mirror. 

There is a box for bags under the table. 

It's more comfortable without the bag on the chair.

如果需要上網,這裡有提供Wifi,密碼就在桌上的立牌。

這兒也有賣手工餅乾,有幾種口味可選,一包250元

 

They provide free WiFi. The password is on the table.  

They also sell homemade cookies.

They have three kinds.

You can choose from cranberry, pine nuts or Earl Grey cookies. 

NT250 for one bag.

他們的套餐價位分為380、480、580、680和780元,

380元是只在週一至週五中午供應的商業午餐,週末不提供,

最後的飲料可以自己選,如果超過90元要補差價。

我們選了480和780的套餐,可以比較一下有什麼不同。

 

Their course sets are NT 380, 480, 580, 680, 780.  

They only provide NT380 set for lunch special on weekdays. 

One can choose drinks. Pay the difference if it's over NT90.

我自己有種薄荷和檸檬香蜂草,平常就很喜歡現採泡來喝,

這茶水裡面放了芳香萬壽菊葉子,很合我意。

服務生會來加水,不需要自己動手。

I enjoyed the water with Lemmon's Marigold.

先端上麵包與抹醬,這抹醬是玫瑰與香草奶油美乃滋抹醬,還蠻軟的,

兩種味道都很香,忍不住就抹來吃了。麵包如果不夠可以再續。

Bread served with herb mayo and butter. 

The pink is with rose.

The butter was made with mayo and butter. It's soft. 

You can have more bread if it's not enough.

接著是湯品,端上來的時候湯盤裡只有一些東西,接著會加湯。

This is soup bowl.

這是綠絲絨濃湯,湯裡還有很細的顆粒,喝起來會有飽足感。

泡泡是大豆卵磷脂打出來的,上面灑了些辣椒粉,

可能食材味道較重,所以不覺得有辣味。

It's green velvet soup. The waiter added soup at the table.

There're small grains of vegetable in the soup.

另一杯湯也很有趣,裡面有顆番茄、一片薄荷葉,

泡泡和辣椒粉則和綠絲絨湯一樣。

This cup with cherry tomato and mint is interesting. 

The bubble is from beaten lecithin and the hot pepper powder is on it.

接著倒入番茄清湯,湯很清透也很清爽,可別以為這是紅茶喔

這喝起來就有些微的辣。

It looked like black tea when the waiter 's poured the soup in the cup.

It's vegetable consomme. It tasted a little spicy.

主廚精選小點有三種,非常精緻,而且在盤子上的都可以吃,

服務生建議從味道較淡的右邊吃到味道較重的左邊。

右邊的是蘋果桂花凍佐芸香,桂花凍皮包著蘋果,搭配在一起酸甜爽口。

中間的是黃瓜蒟蒻捲佐蘿蔔苗,黃瓜蒟蒻捲蠻清淡的,蘿蔔苗味道比較明顯。

左邊的是焦糖起司香蕉搭配杭菊,焦糖起司包覆香蕉香甜可口,

杭菊則是自家農場種的,不過杭菊有點苦,

好像是因為綠色花萼的緣故,我後來不吃花萼就沒那麼苦了。

Amuse bouche came with three items.

The waiter recommended to eat them from the right to the left.

The right one was a slice of apple wrapped with osmanthus jelly and with fennel sprout on it.

The middle one was made of a slice of konjac and cumcumber with radish sprout on it.

The left was a bite of banaba wrapped with cheese and caramel.

The chrysanthenmum was also edible. It's bitter though.

這道是法式焗三鮮,樣子很像法式烤田螺,

其實裡面用的是事先調理過的洋菇、杏鮑菇和茭白筍,

很特別,也蠻好吃的,只是都縮得好小一塊,沒仔細嚐就分辨不出來了。

Mozzare baked vegetables looked like baked escargot. 

They were portobello mushroom, king trumpet mushroom and the stem of Manchurian wildrice in it.

因為我們點的兩份餐點菜色不同,店家請菜色少的那位喝一杯牛蒡枸杞茶。

They offered a cup of greater burdock and goji berry tea to the customer who had less meals.

That was quite considerate.

這是甜菜根蘋果醋,酸中帶點甜,我喜歡。

This is beet and apple cider vinegar. 

It's sweet and sour. I like it.

這是野菇燉飯,好友吃了直說有酸味,那可不是飯有問題,

是用巴薩米可醋做的,和一般吃到的燉飯不一樣,我覺得很好吃。

這看起來不多,但其實蠻深的,對女生來說足夠了,好友沒吃完就飽了,

不過對男生來說可能就吃不飽了。

Mushroom risotto was made with balsamic vinegar. It was delicous!

香煎山伏菇排,看起來黑黑的,其實就是猴頭菇,這是少見的食材,

搭配醬汁吃起來更有滋味,放在嘴裡嚼,真的有肉的感覺。

猴頭菇含有多種多醣體,對消化系統很好。

這看起來似乎不多,但切開來一口一口慢慢吃,後來也飽了。

鋪在下面米黃色的是北非小米couscous,我在美國吃過,在台灣很少見。

This is the grilled tree hedgehog steak

with sauce,couscous and assorted vegetables.

The "steak" is lion's mane mushroom, or called yamabushitake. 

It tastes like meat and contains a number of polysaccharides.

It's good for the digestive system.

Don't think the portion is not big. 

I was full when I finished it.

店家又送了一杯蘿勒松子炒飯,蘿勒味道好香,增加了不少食慾。

The waiter sent a cup of fried rice with basil and pine nuts. 

This smelled so good and tasted delicous too!

附餐我們點的是熱茶和冰滴咖啡。

茶味有些重,試喝了一點冷泡茶,風味比熱茶好。

冰滴咖啡用的是耶加雪菲,有人說它偏酸,

但這杯即使是冷的,也沒有明顯酸味,蠻順口的。

We had hot tea and cold brew coffee.

The tea is from Pingling. The hot tea is kind of strong.

We tried some cold brew tea. We enjoyed the delight smell and taste.

The coffee is Yirgacheffe. It tasted smooth.

最後是水果和甜點,這時就要先吃水果再吃甜點囉。

招牌生起司蛋糕吃起來很軟滑,蛋糕上還有新鮮蝶豆花,

以前只聽過沒吃過,吃了才知道沒什麼味道,主要還是泡來喝。

Raw cheese cake and some fruits were the dessert.

It's better to have fruits before the cake.

The texture of the cake was soft. 

The flower on the cake was butterfly pea flower.

It is edible.

店家也賣整個蛋糕,包裝的盒子提把是個大象呢。

You can buy cakes here or have them delivered.

This is a box for the cake to go. The handle is an adorable elephant.

這是焦糖起司蛋糕,除了濃濃的起司味道,還有蛋香和焦糖味,

熱量很高,搭配咖啡或茶,一次吃一小塊剛剛好。

This is baked cheese cake with caramel.

A piece of cake is good with tea or coffee for the afternoon tea!

手工餅乾一包NT250,約有二十片。

A bag of homemade cookies contains about 20 cookies.

松子口味的,散發著誘人的堅果香氣,很容易一口接著一口,停不下來。

The pine nuts cookies smells good with nuts aroma. 

I always enjoy it and can't stop eating.

帶了一包蝶豆花回家,開始做實驗。

它們要在熱開水中才會溶出顏色,所以先燒了些熱開水,

洗了幾朵蝶豆花,用熱水沖,過一會兒就會變成漂亮的藍色。

I also brought home some butterfly pea flower.

I put them in hot water and the color came out.

用玻璃瓶就能觀察到慢慢溶出的情形。

It's beautiful.

泡出藍色飲料就可以直接喝,網路上有影片指出這是泰國人常喝的飲料。

除了直接喝,我也泡了茶,兩個加在一起會變綠色。

如果加了醋或檸檬汁會變紫紅色,就看酸度如何,真是有趣的實驗。

The blue drink is a normal drink in Thailand. 

You can also mix it with some other ingredients. It will change the color.

It will be purpleish if you add vinegar or lemon juice. 

It will be green if you mix it with tea.

It's very colorful and interesting.

 

艾維儂歐風素食x藝文畫廊餐廳整體環境和氣氛讓人很放鬆,

餐點使用的食材很講究,是屬於讓人精緻品嚐的,清爽無負擔,

對常吃大魚大肉的現代人來說,是個蠻不錯的選擇。

Dining at Avignon Vegetarian Restaurant is quite relaxing and enjoyable.

The dishes are delicate and light which is good for our body. 

It's a very good choice for us to change the habit from heavy meals.
