除夕那天實在太累了，沒等到倒數，我就已經睡著了，當天預定要出的英語學習文章也沒來得及寫出來，希望大家見諒。
這幾天想一想，決定把這個單元改變名稱，叫做＂English is fun＂，以後內容不限於拼字，這樣可以有比較多元的練習，內容也可以活潑實用一些。
我也曾經考慮過用英語歌謠來讓大家學習英語，但是因為歌曲裡面有很多不正式的用法，怕大家沒學好正規英語，混淆了視聽，所以就不另開單元，但有合適的曲子，會在這單元裡介紹。
曾有格友希望我能放上錄音或錄影，總之就是希望能聽到發音，那是個很好的建議。不過因為要花時間，我暫時還沒空每次做這個部份，希望大家包涵。但願今後喜歡英語的舊雨新知，不吝指正。
New Year's Eve 除夕
New Year's Eve is the last day of the year.
除夕是一年的最後一天，
Did you go to any party?
你有參加聚會嗎？
Or did you join the countdown crowds around Taipei 101 at midnight on December 31?
或是參加了十二月三十一日午夜在台北101外圍倒數的群眾呢？
Did you spend time with your family or your friends?
你和家人或是朋友共度呢？
I had my New Year's Eve one day earlier with my friend and got tired.
我提早一天和朋友過除夕，而且很累。
So I went to bed early on New Year's Eve.
所以除夕那天我很早就睡了。

Today's exercise 今天的習題：
今天的習題，就是請大家回答上面兩個問題。請盡量用英文回答，如果覺得有困難，還是可以用中文回應，我想聽聽各位是怎麼過除夕夜的，也想知道各位是不是有什麼新年的希望。
不過學任何東西就是不要怕難，不要怕犯錯，錯了沒關係。如果不會出錯，就表示你已經會了，也就不用學了，不是嗎？
出錯才會學到什麼是對的，所以請大家不要怕錯，要多練習才能學好。我也還是會出錯的，到時可不要笑我喔！

I spent my New Year's Eve working. haha
It was actually the first day I was working on my own at my new position as an L&D nurse.
It was very scary, and I was brave enough to take on a tough assignment.
I took care of a very obese patient who had lots of complications related to pregnancy.
I was so tired at the end of the day,so I passed out soon after i got home.
I slept so soundly and missed the countdown for the new year. Oh well~ there is always another year!
I have many things I want to do in the new year.
1. exercise more
2. eat more veggies and fruits, less meat
3. continue my education in nursing
4. take a trip back to Taiwan to visit all my friends and family
5. take kids to Florida's Disney World
6. Rent an RV and drive to Yellow Stone park
7. do any volunteer work
I would not say they are my new year's resolutions.
They are just a few things I would like to do this year.
Hope you will do something fun as well!

I missed the countdown too. So we are even.
I agree with you. Some of the list are New Year's resolutions. Some are not.
The trips in the list are quite a lot. You might need more time to finish them.
I've been to both Florida's Disney World and Yellow Stone park. They are definitely fun places to go.
I haven't been to the states since February 2007. I plan to go to the US this coming summer.

雖然沒有量化指標，對外人來說不太明確，但如果自己有感覺到內在的變化，那也是很棒的目標。

哈哈，所以是因為沒有設定新年新希望，不是因為語言的關係呀。
整修房子也算新希望，多運動、多看書、多出去走走等等都算。
可以用中文啦。要不然說說除夕怎麼過的好了。

That sounds like a wish, not a resolution.
這裡說的新希望是要花點心思去做而可以進步的事喔。比方說很多人會多要多運動，減肥等等的。
對! 自從自己帶小孩，唯一的嗜好就是串門子，以前串門子要走出家裡的大門~
自從玩了部落格，只要走出虛擬的格子大門，只要宅在家就能串門子了

我認真寫，結局竟是怎樣？我不懂妳說的，妳想太多了吧。
我沒給自己什麼壓力，這是我想做的事，只是不太了解大家的需求，所以有落差，需要調整。就算大家不想玩，這對我來說也是很好的學習，只是有時候時間比較緊罷了。

It'll be better if you are more careful about the tense of verbs.
Losing 5kg is a good goal. I need that too. But I don't think it will ever happen.

跨年那夜本來要外子載我去參加基隆的就好，可他說：港邊冷得要命，在家看電視跨年就好啦。

基隆也有呀？看來各地都多少少應該都有倒數活動囉，我們新莊也有，不過我也是先睡著了。
去年有去這邊的運動場看演唱會，越晚越冷，好像是回家看倒數的。
剛好教會就在醫院前面，雖然不能和大家一起聚會，能遠望也還是不錯的。

聽說今年股市會繼續漲，最好大家都賺大錢囉！
賺的時候要滿足，不要太貪心，有時太貪心反而賠掉。
要不然就是選好股，做長期投資。
我就是不貪心的那ㄍ溜..都跑的差不多ㄌ
